One of the most respected landscape architectural and design firms in Toronto, ENVision – the Hough Group is comprised of a team of professionals who bring a wide range of interests and skills to our project work. Our staff is primarily planning and landscape architectural personnel, with additional backgrounds and expertise in biology, horticulture, business administration and graphics communications. Our long history as a professional practice has generated many colleagues and contacts, allowing us to work collaboratively or as lead consultants, on a wide range of projects that encompass engineering, architectural, heritage preservation, biology, economic feasibility and urban design services. The firm offers full in-house consulting services in design and contract document preparation, utilizing the latest in computer aided design technologies.

Eha Naylor, Principal,

Eha Naylor is a Principal of ENVision – the Hough Group with twenty-six years of consulting experience. Her expertise reflects the diverse nature of the firm’s practice, with both environmental planning and site design experience for public and private sector clients. She directs large-scale projects from feasibility through to implementation, and undertakes projects throughout North America. Eha’s practice includes public facilitation and projects that bridge planning and ecological design fields. Eha has appeared as witness at the Ontario Municipal Board as an environmental planning expert and lectures at Canadian universities. Eha is certified by the Council of Landscape Architecture Boards (CLARB) to practice in the United States.

Ian Dance, Principal,

Ian Dance is a Principal of ENVision – the Hough Group with twenty-six years of professional practice in planning, design and implementation. Ian combines strong design ability and artistic expression with practical, implementable solutions on a range of project types. With his specialized expertise in urban design and waterfront revitalization, Ian practices throughout Canada and internationally, providing innovative and award winning designs to both public and private sector clients, and overseeing projects from design through to contract administration. Ian is co-chair of the OALA Ethics Review Committee and has taught design and ecology courses.

Caroline Marshall, Associate Principal,
Dip in Agric. (Landscape Hort.) (1976), B.L.A.(1985)

Caroline Marshall is an Associate Principal with ENVision – the Hough Group and has been with the firm for eighteen years. Over the years she has acquired extensive experience in the planning and design of recreational open space, derived from participation in a range of public sector projects including: subwatershed studies, municipal secondary plans for urbanizing and redevelopment areas, parks and recreation master plans, trails and tourism planning, and large-scale park master planning projects. Caroline has directed a number of the firm’s inter-disciplinary planning projects and has developed skills in policy review and the public consultation process.
